Shkopet & Ulëz Lake Day Tour

Itinerary
- 08:00Hotel pickup & drive to the Mat valley
We leave Tirana and drive about 1.5 hours north-east through the green Mat River valley into the Ulëz–Shkopet Natural Park.
- 09:30Arrive at Ulza Eco Park
Meet at the lakeside eco park for a short safety briefing and to get fitted with kayaks and life jackets.
- 10:00Kayaking on Lake Ulza
Paddle about two relaxed hours across calm, turquoise water ringed by forested hills, spotting birds and wildlife. Beginner-friendly, with the guide alongside.
- 12:30Traditional lakeside lunch
Stop at a local family's home for a hearty lunch of fresh river fish, seasonal vegetables and homemade Albanian specialties.
- 14:00Shkopet Lake & the Vasha bridge
Continue to the smaller, more dramatic Shkopet reservoir set between steep cliffs, and walk across the famous Vasha hanging suspension bridge over the gorge.
- 15:00Swim & relax
Free time to swim and sunbathe on the quiet little beaches of the Mat river.
- 16:30Scenic drive back
We begin the relaxed journey back toward Tirana with the afternoon light over the valley.
- 18:00Evening drop-off
Arrive back at your accommodation after a refreshing day in nature.
